Heads up contrast freaks, this post may knock you back a few steps. Today’s Fade of the Day came in to us from Raden Taqy of Indonesia; his pair of Akaime A5s are at just under two years of solid wear.
The craziest part about these jeans (aside from the killer fades themselves) is that Raden achieved this look even after only wearing them once a week for the whole first year. After that, he tells us that they were worn daily for the next eight months at his university which most likely is when the serious fades began.
From stark whiskering in the thighs to the white knees and seat, the amount of contrast really makes these jeans pop. It’s also worth noting the lack of patina on his leather patch, which has remained in a clean natural veg tan state, most likely due to the minimal exposures to water.
