Anyone who knows their denim knows the Naked & Famous Weird Guy Elephant is a serious pair of jeans. Artees Vannett of Oregon took this to heart and has put his pair of Elephant 4s to task since day one. Whether climbing Red Rocks or making his own custom furniture, these jeans have been there through it all.
In the nearly three years of regular wear, with two washes, his fade details are superbly contrasting; the whiskering is rather subtle while those heavy combs are anything but ordinary. A lot of the original dye has been worn out and the lap is almost entirely faded out, as are the back pockets. According to Artees nothing has been repaired – he’s essentially letting the jeans age without intervening, an approach that seems to be working well.
