Fade of the Day – Naked & Famous Rainbow Core (13 Months, 3 Washes)

We have something totally different for this edition of Fade Of The Day: rainbow fades. John Mullins, of Virginia, is the owner of these Rainbow Core jeans by the kings of denim experimentation, Naked & Famous. Using 5 different colors of warp yarns, these jeans were designed to reveal a rainbow effect as they fade.

With a life as flamboyant as their design, John has worn his jeans for the production of two musicals, and participating in a marching band. All this singing and dancing has broken the dark denim in nicely, and the multicolored streaks have emerged. Beside the rainbow fades, we can also see the usual suspects: tight honeycombs and whiskers forming after just over a year of wear.

Love them or hate them, you have to admire the originality behind these jeans.
