Streaker! No, not that kind–denim streaking, and it’s here with today’s Fade of the Day. Heddels reader Uwe Sonntag calls Madagascar home and for the past three years he’s called a pair of Oni 514s his go-to pair of jeans. This pair is still holding strong after 10 washes and a soak; the only areas showing significant loss of dye are in the lap and seat fades.
Other than that, the original indigo is still very much intact. The overall look is streaky with high contrast fades and wrap-around honeycombs complemented by well-defined whiskering. The fabric has maintained its integrity well despite the need for two minor pocket repairs, which is remarkable considering the extensive wear Uwe has put into them.
