Viberg Scotch Grain Shell Cordovan Derby Shoe

Not often do you have the chance to line up to spend over a thousand dollars on a pair of shoes, but Viberg is giving us that chance with their Scotch grain shell cordovan derby. This shoe will likely appeal to a very specific audience but it’s an unashamedly dapper footwear choice for those who can pull it off.

The shoe sells for the-stop-and-seriously-think–about–it price of $1,030 USD and is based on a decades old design by the company’s founder, Edwin Viberg. That design never went to production but this version, however, is a more modern and refined interpretation of the original pattern. Standard features include Dainite sole, kip lining, and Goodyear welt construction. Despite the high initial cost, the highly sought after shell cordovan leather puts this shoe into a league of its own, and could last several lifetimes if cared for properly.
