Fade Friday – Hundredbuck Noah Prototype (2 Years, 1 Wash, 3 Soaks)

Is it safe to say that Southeast Asia is the leading denim fade-zone in the world? You can be the judge, but after taking a gander at this week’s Fade Friday, I think I know what your answer will be. Fikri Amullah is no stranger to Heddels‘ featured fades, and in fact he first sent us shots of his Hundredbuck Noah prototypes almost exactly a year ago, earning a Fade of the Day spot. One year and a lot of wear later, Fikri has graduated to a Fade Friday with the very same pair of jeans.

Ringing in a total of two years of wear, these Noahs are truly something special. Indonesia has become notorious for high-contrast fades, and we are definitely seeing that here with almost no indigo left on the thighs but almost all the indigo left in the lower friction areas like the ankles and crotch. Strong whiskers have taken form, matched by insane honeycombs behind the knees and stark back pocket fades.

Fikri tells us he wears these jeans all the time, even to the gym, and has survived three motorcycle accidents without so much as a rip or tear. The fades are strong and so are the jeans, what more can we ask for?
