Fade of the Day – The Strike Gold 1109 (2 Years, Unknown Washes, 1 Soak)

It’s time for Fade Of The Day, and we have a pair of real beat-up The Strike Gold 1109s, submitted by Heddels reader Alex Tang of Oregon. He’s put his jeans through the wringer over 2 years of wear as an industrial design student, and they have the fades to show for it.

Alex has lost count of how many times he’s washed these Strike Golds, so it’s no wonder they have developed such a vintage look. Washed out, faded and damaged—these jeans are fit for any Ramones album cover. We’ve also got some stacked-up honeycombs and some nice patina on the leather patch. And the icing on the cake is how the stitching on the back pockets has worn off,  revealing contrasting darker-indigo arcuates.

With both knees torn, and repairs already conducted, it may be time for the archives for these Strike Golds. But we’ll leave that up to Alex.
