Taylor Stitch 16.5oz. Deadstock Kaihara Mills Selvedge Jeans

When does something become deadstock? The term means something vintage that was never worn and just sat idle on the shelf until someone came along to use it. To Taylor Stitch, it’s apparently no more than 22 years, as their latest release uses “deadstock” selvedge denim from Japan’s Kaihara Mills, when the fabric producer began making selvedge denim in 1994.

That vintage blue weighs in at a mid-to-high 16.5oz. weight and comes in TS’s looser Democratic fit. Other details include a leather patch, YKK hardware, and a screenprint of their home city of San Francisco on the pocketbags – helpful should you become lost both geographically and mentally to the point that taking off your pants to navigate by them seems like a good idea.

Available for $118 at Taylor Stitch.
