When I think of American brands that continue to hold it down, one that repeatedly comes to mind would have to be Tellason. From a wide range of fits and fabrics in their denim department, to simple and utilitarian chore coats that always catch the eye, they never fail to impress me. Their latest Japanese Indigo Striped Selvedge Clampdown Shirt blends the company’s well known attributes in one nice looking package, with some secret details in the mix as well.
While the Clampdown design itself isn’t all too new for Tellason, the material certainly is. Cut from a 100% cotton 4.5oz. striped Japanese selvedge chambray fabric, it is sturdy enough to put to work in the middle of the summer and light enough to not pass out from heat exhaustion while doing so.
It features two breast flap pockets with a pencil pocket and hidden knife holder, with selvedge gussets and corozo buttons throughout. They’ll even throw in a company branded pencil to put in that pocket.
Available for $220 at Tellason.
