Unbranded UB601 14.75oz. Indigo Selvedge Relaxed Tapered Fit Jean

As I first became aware of the raw denim world, one of the first options I found (most likely through a Google search) was Unbranded. It’s no secret that they’ve been providing a cost effective raw selvedge denim option for years now, and have served as an indigo gateway drug for many well-versed denim heads today. The good news is they’ve listened to the people over the years and have made adjustments, offering a new fit to their lineup — the UB601 14.75oz. Relaxed Tapered jean.

According to their website, the UB601 features a higher rise with a roomier seat and thigh that tapers nicely from the knee down. Constructed from 14.5oz. rope-dyed indigo Japanese denim, we can almost guarantee you won’t find a better bang for your buck in this market. The rest of the features are more or less the same, with their standard five pocket construction, blue ear selvedge, hidden rivets and, yes, they are still made in China. But for a mass produced pair of low budget raw denim jeans, it’s pretty great that Unbranded is listening to their customers and making improvements because, hey, we all need to start somewhere. You might as well be comfortable, too.

Available for $82 at The Unbranded Brand.
