Fade of the Day – Raleigh Denim Martin Thin Taper Chevron (13 Months, 0 Washes)

Today we have your daily dose of indigo, and then some. This pair of Raleigh Denim Martin Thin Taper Chevrons come to us from Thomas Dent, of Indianapolis, and bring more double-indigo goodness to this edition of Fade Of The Day.

Thomas has ignored any dirt, stains, or spills and kept these jean/chino hybrids dry for 13 months, so, in addition to some solid fades and creases, a lot of the deep-indigo dye remains. Often wearing them in the height of summer for up to 18 hours a day, he’s earned some super crispy honeycombs, as well as some whiskers in the crotch, and some sweet stacking on the lower legs.

The best part is how the herringbone weave used on the fabric becomes more visible as it fades. And when Thomas finally starts washing these Raleighs, the patina will only continue to grow.
