Fade of the Day – The Flat Head 6002w (1 Year, 1 Soak)

What goes better with a beautifully faded pair of jeans than an equally rad denim jacket? Heddels reader Witsarut Pum-In of Thailand knows how it’s done, and has been rocking this The Flat Head 6002w jacket for the last year of everyday living, earning him today’s Fade of the Day.

Anyone who has worn a raw denim jacket can probably attest that the fades don’t always come as easy as they do for jeans. The combination of less friction, stress, and movement mean the indigo takes longer to rub off, so any fades are usually very well-earned.

Witsarut’s activities consist of working, hanging out, studying, and riding his motorcycle, and after a year he’s really made his mark on this jacket. The elbow honeycombs are popping through in a big way, and you can tell the seams are fading fast too. The subtle roping throughout is also noteworthy, giving this jacket a vintage feel that will continue to get better with time.
