By the fashion industry calendar, spring and summer are nigh, and we have no complaints while daydreaming that it’s true. Accordingly, Japanese brand FDMTL has released its SS17 collection. We’re seeing a much more relaxed character, especially compared to AW16.
The athleisure trend has made its mark on this collection, in the form of joggers, sweatshirts, and hoodies (all featuring, of course, FDMTL’s signature indigo, denim and boro). And the oversized short sleeve button-downs and cardigans with pockets fall in line with Heddels’ editor David Shucks’s hopes for a #traveldad fashion moment. We might call it FDMTL’s unique take on “American weekend.”
