For that ‘just rolled out of bed ten years ago’ vibe, look no further than Nudie’s Ove Pocket Tee. Each shirt starts out with straight indigo yarns, and then receives a marbled wash for a uniquely rumpled look. The sleeves are cut just a tad longer than normal on a classic tee, the neck scoops a bit wider than conventional crews, and an irregularly shaped chest pocket completes the slightly off-kilter look.
Note that this Heddels writer does not recommend the fake-whiskered dirty wash jeans as a complement. I can imagine this shirt looking much more interesting paired with fresh, raw black or very dark indigo denim, or even some of those oversized, pleated dad-chinos we’ve been seeing around (again, in a darker tone), for a starker contrast between tailored and distressed, which would then bring out the depth and variety of indigo found in the Ove.
Made in Portugal with 100% organic cotton, and available for a pretty penny ($118) at Cultizm.
