Fade of the Day – A.P.C. Petit Standard (14 Months, 1 Wash, 2 Soaks)
It’s always nice to get featured faders sending us updates on their jeans, and that’s just the case for this Fade of the Day, showcasing this pair of well-loved A.P.C. Petit Standards from Heddels reader Watchara Srirojanakul of Thailand. Clocking in at one year and two months of wear, they look quite different than the last time we saw them—check out his most recent submission in May of 2016 for some context.
Watchara keeps track of his jeans in actual months of wear rather than months of ownership, for a true account of his fades. He tells us that since his last appearance, he only put another three months or so of wear on these A.P.C.s, but the difference is staggering. They continued to lighten up all around, pops of detailing in all the right places. The honeycombs are well defined but don’t draw your attention away from the rest of the fades, while the whiskers and knees are equally classic and, dare we say, inspiring.
While they are currently being subbed out for some other jeans in his wardrobe, it’s clear that Watchara won’t be getting rid of these Petit Standards anytime soon.
