Today’s Fade of the Day was sent in to us by Heddels reader Sassawat L. of Thailand, who has been wearing this pair of Unbranded UB268s for the last year in and out of the workplace, which, in this case, is a laboratory. That said, it doesn’t take a scientist to tell that these double-indigo jeans are well on their way to fade glory.
Sassawat’s jeans serve their purpose as equal parts function and fashion. They protect his lower extremities from alcohol, solvents, and liquid nitrogen every day in the lab, while earning unique fades at the same time. He travels upwards of 8 kilometers every day on his commute through the hot and humid Thailand weather and has endured many an unplanned rain soak, which probably contributed to the already well-defined whiskers and knee fades. Being that this denim is produced with an indigo warp and weft, the fading comes twice as hard. Sassawat, however, is putting them to the test every day, which is especially showing in the seat and back pocket fades, with plenty of life left in them to get even better with time.
