It’s become quite apparent that there is something in the air in Southeast Asia, and that something fades your jeans to a whole new level. This pair of Oldblue Co. 8.25 cut 19 oz. belong to Heddels reader Evan Ramadhan, and they’re the latest submission from Indonesia to brush all others aside and take the top spot on Fade Friday.
Evan has been wearing these jeans for just over a year now, with daily activities and hiking being part of his formula for these grail-status fades. Striking blue denim with sharp, contrasting bright white fading is a combo many denimheads long for, and we have plenty of this here, especially in those lightning-strike honeycombs. The lap may have seen some mad dye loss, but the whiskers are strong enough to punch through all the way down to the knee.
There’s even some nice traintrack fades down the outseam, so these Oldblues tick all our boxes. It’s hard to imagine how much better they could get, but with no repairs needed yet, we’ll leave it to Evan to work his magic.
