When your denim jacket starts fading before it even has time to reach your hands, you know you’re in for a ride. The new Iron Heart IHxPxT1 Black Overdye 140z. Type I Jacket has plenty of pigment to get rid of, and is sure to please the those looking for a change-up from the typical indigo denim jacket.
Midweight 14oz. denim provides some decent heft to this jacket, making it a worthy outer layer for tough wear on hot and cool days alike. And while the vintage cut of the Type I jacket may turn many people off, Iron Heart did collaborate with Thailand retailer Pronto Denim to switch up the specs. They added room in the shoulders and elongated the body while slimming the arms for a slightly more contemporary fit, rather than the traditional ranch-appropriate cut.
On the detailing front, they kept the extras to a minimum, sticking with the classics like a single breast pocket, double pleated front placket, and cinch buckle back strap with corroded hardware throughout and poly/cotton constructional stitching.
