Springtime is always exciting in the world of fashion. We get to see each brand gearing up for their latest releases and, perhaps just as importantly, how the people react. This spring season has Japanese crafters Chimala in straight railroad mode, and they’re keeping that train going with their latest 10oz. Indigo x Indigo Railroad Pants.
At this point, you might be rolling your eyes at the thought of yet another pair of high rise, wide-leg buckaroos with a cinch-back for added effect. But Chimala chose the road (or track) less traveled with their pants, and they included some tasty details to show that originality is alive and well in their house.
Rather than a cinch-back, they’ve added a sewn-in cloth belt that reaches from the rear waist line to the front. The back button pockets are spread slightly wider than usual, set at the side darts, which means that whatever you’re sitting on back there won’t cause you trips to the chiropractor. The denim itself is a saturated but lightweight 10oz. indigo cotton twill material that will wear perfectly all summer long and fade just like your favorite pair of jeans.
