Who ever said you can’t patina a fish? Natural leather, pyrography, and a whole lot of daily use come together in today’s Fade of the Day. Today we’re featuring one Yasei Leather Koi Natural Bifold wallet submitted by Hafizh Habiby, of Indonesia.
In the case of this wallet, Hafizh tells us it was crafted by his friend and then personalized by himself with the addition of the koi fish. It has been his daily money carrier for the last eight months and has endured sweat, rain, indigo, and the occasional sun bath to achieve the great state of patina we are seeing today. A little mink oil here and there conditions the leather and prevents any unwanted dryness, which means that he can keep this thing going for many a day to come.
