Fade Friday – Oldblue Co. 8.25 cut 19 oz. Indonesian Selvedge (9 Months, 1 Wash, 1 Soak)

It’s that time of the week again folks: Fade Friday! The denim heads of Indonesia seem to have the fade game on lock, as once again we are graced with a pair of Oldblue Co. 8.25 Cut 19 oz., that come to us from Martin Elanda, of Yogyakarta. And yes, your eyes aren’t deceiving you, they have only been worn for 9 months.

Martin is a college student and tells us he wears his jeans for up to 15 to 20 hours every day, doing anything from hanging out with friends, to field days studying the geology of Indonesia. Even with all this wear, Martin has only washed his jeans twice, which probably explains the super-defined, comic-strip fades we’re seeing here. The honeycombs are nothing short of perfect, preserving darker indigo tones between each crease. And the whiskers are so strong that they wrap ’round to the seat and claw down the thighs. To top it all off, we’ve got some nice roping on the hems and a solid pocket fade.

You can find Martin on Instagram.
