From the small town of Cardigan, Wales, all the way to San Antonio, Texas comes today’s Fade of the Day. Heddels reader Christopher Brown chose this pair of Hiut Denim Slim Hack@ to be his everyday jeans for life as a stay-at-home dad, and, after 15 months wear, he’s earned fades worthy of his post as king of the castle.
Christopher took part in Hiut’s “No Wash Club”, meaning his jeans could not touch any water for six months at a time. The results are some stark fades, and notable dye-loss on the thighs from keeping the denim dry and abrasive as possible. Christopher is always on the go, so the honeycombs and whiskers have come through in force, and he’s got some subtle stacks developing on the lower legs. Three striking pocket fades complete the look on some of the coolest “Dad Jeans” to date.
There may be some minor damage on the left knee and other areas, but Christopher is about to ship these jeans all the way back to folks at Hiut to repair and reinforce them.
