After collaborating for the first time last winter, Levi’s and Jun Takahashi’s Undercover come together again, this time with a juicy capsule collection to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Levi’s Type III denim jacket. The limited collection see’s all three archetypal Levi’s jackets get the Japanese streetwear treatment.
The Type I stays true to it’s classic build (cinch back included) , but is embellished with embroidered lyrics from the song “Mother Sky” by German rock band, Can. The Type II gets a structural alteration, doubling the length of the body and adding two open-pockets to achieve a chore-jacket aesthetic. And the Type III trucker jacket is customized with knitted-wool panels made by Undercover, which will vary on each piece.
The capsule is available at Dover Street Market.
