Fade of the Day – Custom Handmade Navajo-Style Belt (10+ Years)

We all have hand-me-downs, but are they ever this cool? This custom Navajo-style leather belt was handmade by the grandfather of Heddels reader Michael Lowe, from the U.S.A, and he’s been wearing it for over a decade now.

The intricately crafted silver, turquoise, and coral buckle is gleaming compared to the aged leather, which has picked up some heavy-duty patina over the years. It’s scratched, scuffed and worn down to the point where some areas have lost their brown tone in favor of a greyish cast, which is contrasted by the edges of the strap that have darkened and picked up an indigo hue from raw denim jeans.
