Fade Friday – Stevenson Overall 727 La Jolla (3.5 Years, 27 Washes)

Fade Friday is here, and this time around we have a special submission from none other than Kiya Babzani, head honcho of Self Edge. Kiya sent us his beloved Stevenson Overall Co. 727 La Jolla, which he’s been rocking for three and a half years. They’re now faded, beat-up, and full of character—just how we like ’em.

Kiya’s jeans have seen 27 machine washes, which has seen the denim develop a classic, American-blue cast that is offset by the faded-to-white lap. Subtle whiskers and striations run down the inner thigh, with train track fades running parallel down the outseams. And on the reverse, we have a set of strong honeycombs which wrap around to the knees. Add some inseam and hem roping to the mix and we have a damn near perfect pair of faded raws.

These Stevensons have racked up six repairs in their time, two of which were done by Kiya himself. And after nearly four years, he’s sadly retiring these jeans, ready to get started on a new pair of raws. Something tells us he won’t be needing the $100 Self Edge gift card, though!
