Wear your jeans long enough, and good things will come. This pair of 3sixteen ST-100x have been worn with pride for the last two and a half years by Matt Becker of Riverside, CA, and have reached a level of fading that any denim enthusiast would aspire to, making it our Fade of the Day.

When it comes to how these fades came to be, Matt wasn’t using any special methods to get good lookin’ denim, nor does he have many crazy stories. He just wears them every day (outside of work) and lets the fades take care of themselves. With only four washes during this timespan, the shade of blue on this denim has lightened considerably, settling on that comfy medium-blue tone and highlighted by pops of white in the well-worn areas—including the whiskers, knees and seat.

After a recent repair by Self Edge LA, Matt’s ready to keep these 3Sixteens a part of his daily routine for as long as he can.
