More solid fades coming from Indonesia? You betcha. This pair of Hans Company HS 101 come from Satya Ridzki, who submitted them to us just as they hit their first year of wear. The fabric is a bit lighter than we usually see on Indonesian denim, weighing in at 13.5 oz. Nevertheless, the fades Satya has earned are solid enough for this edition of Fade Of The Day.

Satya tells us he’s worn these jeans on every occasion, from field trips to chilling with friends. The unpredictable weather of Indonesia means that, in addition to four washes, they’ve also seen countless rain soaks, which have left the denim with a rich ocean-blue cast.

Strong whiskers have been established in the lap, which is well-worn and almost white in tone. And the seat is pretty darn faded too, with the once-hidden arcs on the back pockets now bright and defined, just like the crispy honeycombs below them.
