Fade of the Day – Todd Shelton Pro Selvedge Raw (21 Months, 3 Washes)

We’ve had a few brands make fade-debuts lately, and this edition of Fade Of The Day marks the first appearance for U.S.-based label Todd Shelton. They’re not huge in the denim game, but this pair of Pro Selvedge Raw, submitted by Brian Fauber, of Ohio, are made of solid 14 oz. Japanese denim, and the fades aren’t too shabby either.

Brian has been wearing these jeans for almost two years, and tells us that the fades we’re seeing here come from casual, daily wear. The denim has developed a steely blue cast after three washes, with contrast coming from the white whiskers and faded lap. The honeycombs are slightly restrained, but the train-track fades down the outseam, and some pronounced roping on the hems make for a solid look.
