Let’s face it all you heavyweight denim freaks out there, even you need a break from the 21oz.-plus raw gear every once in a while, and there’s nothing like a little summer heat to drive the point home. You can add a little variety to your wardrobe with Shockoe Atelier’s latest Slim Dixon 10oz. Kuroki Mills Selvedge Jeans, and be able to stay raw all year ’round.
Though the name sort of gives it away, this denim is worth noting as it’s rich with classic Japanese woven texture. Featuring an indigo warp and natural weft, they’re sewn up with dual-tonal stitching in a comfy low/mid rise and slim tapered leg. Shockoe takes pride in producing denim that’s meant to be worn, so you can count on signature features like rolled and tucked belt loops, a lock-stitched yoke and waistband, copper rivets, and high density serging on the inside of the fly and inseam.
If you manage to bust them open over time, you can rest easy knowing that they also offer free repairs for the life of the jean, which is good because, in their own words, “There is no such thing as shorts weather, just barefoot season…”
Available for $250 at Shockoe Atelier.
