Vans Drops a Quartet of “Veggie Tan” Sneakers

One morning I woke up and everyone had the same Vans. I went outside and everyone I saw was wearing the same black Old Skools. I picked up my phone and went on Instagram and EVERYONE HAD THE SAME FRIGGIN’ VANS. What happened? Did I miss the memo? Perhaps. But those are for sheeple. For those trailblazers out there, I’ve got some news for you: Vans just released this “Veggie-Tan” leather collection, and the shoes are gorgeous.

The collection features the ubiquitous Old Skool design that I was screaming about earlier as well as the famous Sk8-Hi zip, slip on, and authentic. And, like all Vans, it’s all about beating these shoes to hell. The vegetable-tanned premium leather has no pigment so it’ll age fast and well. Also, in keeping with the brand’s comfy skate-shoe vibe, these models feature padded collars, UltraCush sock-liners, and that signature waffle sole.

Based on the comments about these Veggie-Tanned shoes on the website, it looks like people have been snapping them up fast. So if you want a pair of Vans that stand out and don’t make me furious, hurry on up.

The pack ranges from $80-$110 and is available only through the Vans website.
