Fade of the Day – Levi’s 501 STF (2 Years, 2 Washes, 2 Soaks)

Today’s Fade Of The Day is a pair of stone cold classics, the Levi’s 501 STF, courtesy of Graham in South Carolina.

Graham tells us he bought the jeans, soaked them warm, put them on until they dried out and wore them pretty much non-stop thereafter. It shows, with a nice range of indigo loss throughout the pant, defined stacks, honeycombs, and whiskers, plus a blown-out crotch and other damange that could be perfect fodder for some interesting repair work.

All-purpose usage also tends to develop more asymmetrical fading, which we are particularly keen on, as it makes the jeans all the more personalized and unique. Case-in-point: a cameo from the seldom seen calf muscle fade. Although, we’re more than a bit puzzled as to what would make the right calf that much more pronounced than the left. Graham’s a skater and pushes with his right leg? Your guess is as good as ours.
