Fade Friday – Elhaus Nomad Iron Tail (14 Months, 4 Washes, 1 Soak)

Fade-Friday---Elhaus-Nomad-Iron-Tail-(14-Months,-4-Washes,-1-Soak)-front-top

An Elhaus pair of jeans worn for 14 months.

We don’t see a ton of Elhaus submissions in our fade inbox, but when they do show up, they are usually pretty rad. In fact, they’re almost always a Fade Friday, including this pair of Nomad Iron Tails worn by Oliver Mauek of Bandun, Indonesia, where he beat just about every bit of indigo out of them.

Worn for just over a year, you may be wondering what sort of acid rainstorms Oliver had to walk through every week to get his jeans to look this way. In reality, he simply wore them for activities such as hiking, hanging on the beach, and traveling in the magical land of Indonesia, and the resulting fades speak for themselves.

After the indigo loss, the only real blue left is residing in those hard-to-fade places such as the waist and lower legs, but even still, you can see some nicely formed honeycombs and stacking around the ankles. Despite the insane signs of wear, the denim itself still looks to be in great shape, which is good because when your jeans look this good they are worth wearing.
