Fade Friday – Levi’s Type III ‘Trucker’ (10+ Years, Unknown Washes)

We’ve been spoiled with some truly stunning denim jackets lately, and keeping the ball rollin’ for this weeks edition of Fade Friday is this Levi’s Type III Trucker Jacket, submitted by Witek Jaszczyk of Poland.

Witek has been rocking this jacket for more than a decade now and, with such beautiful fades and vintage character, it looks like it’s been pulled straight of the Levi’s archives! After countless washes, the denim has developed a true American-blue cast, and it’s faded to white in the highest stress-points. A beautiful patina has developed all over, with puckering on the shoulders and waistband, and roping that covers every seam—especially the unmistakeable Type III ‘knife pleats’ that make this classic jacket so recognizable.

No repairs have been needed yet, which goes to show just how tough these jackets are made. Witek will probably be rocking this beauty in another 10 years’ time.
