Fade of the Day – RRL Slim Fit Rigid Raw (3 Years, 1 Wash, 1 Soak)

Now here’s a sight we don’t often see – cowboy jeans worn by a real cowboy! Heddels reader Hill White of the great state of Texas has rocked these RRL Slim Fit Rigid Raw jeans for close to three and a half years. He’s worn ’em hard on the ranch and finally decided it was time to share the results with the world.

Lots of time spent in and out of the saddle (along with all of the work that goes with it) has really taken its toll on these jeans, and the resulting fades are as awesome as we could hope. The faded thighs have gone right through the whiskers, turning what was once a white weft into that classic dirty tan workwear hue that looks like it came right out of an old photo.

As far as damage goes, Hill tries to keep up with patching the smattering of holes whenever they pop up, and he even reinforced the the inseam to prolong the life of his jeans. Though they’ve only seen one wash and soak in their lifetime, he keeps them looking fresh as ever with those ironed front pleats.
