It’s always nice to get an update on past fades, especially when they’ve evolved to a new level of faded-ness. Kris Foster, of San Francisco, sent us some recent images of his well-loved Stevenson Overall Co. Valencia 714 that we featured back in September, and it’s safe to say they warrant another appearance on Fade Of The Day.

Kris has been wearing these jeans for a year and a half now, recording eight washes and two soaks along the way. They’ve needed some hefty repair jobs after hiking around SOMA and the rest of San Fran, with the darning on the lap being the latest on a long list of reinforcements. Kris is actually hanging these jeans up as a result of the extensive damage, but they’re retiring in style, with a rich blue cast, lovely whiskers and thigh striations, and a set of solid honeycombs. The hems are also super-ropey, and every rip, tear, and imperfection adds endless character to these charming Stevensons.
