Though it may run contrary to popular belief, Prada isn’t the only company who can make good use of some textured leather. Epaulet has just released their latest take on the classic Billfold Wallet, offering it up in two handsome colorways for those in need of an improved way to carry their monies.
What started as a rich, full-grain calfskin sourced from a tannery in Northern Italy was then treated and pressed with a metal stamp, which gives it the resulting all-over texture you see in the photos. A heavy coating of wax is applied on top, making this material as durable as leather comes, able to withstand years in the back pocket and even nature itself. If it gets dirty, wipe it off. If it’s raining, you can still pay your parking meter and watch as the rain drops bead up and slide off. Yet, it retains a comfortable, soft leather feel that’s sturdy enough to carry day-to-day.
This one features interior card holders at either side and one large bill pocket in the back, so you don’t have to worry about losing functionality just to look good.
