Fade of the Day – 3sixteen ST-100XK Kibata (13 Months, 2 Washes, 1 Soak)

A lot of things can change in a year’s time. Relationships can come and go, new job opportunities can be acquired, but, most importantly of all, you can fade your jeans. Heddels reader James Natividad, of the Philippines, has been wearing his pair of 3sixteen ST-100XK for just over a year and his personalized wear patterns have earned him the spot in today’s Fade of the Day.

Aside from the obvious marks of hard wearing, the true testament to the life of these jeans thus far is the lightened shade they’ve taken on. What was once a dark, saturated raw indigo denim has faded considerably throughout, leaving the jeans a nice, broken-in medium blue. James has got his knee fades in check, honeycombs stacking up nicely, and, for only wearing them about half of every week, he has already had to repair the crotch twice! Let’s just hope these jeans hold up for another year in the books.
