Fade of the Day – Levi’s 501 STF (10 Months, 1 Wash, 2 Soaks)

Some jeans don’t need to be sourced from upscale menswear retailers to look good, and if any jean proves that notion, it’s the Levi’s 501 STF. Heddels reader Danny Miller out of Arizona knows that he can get good fades with a pair of jeans picked up at his local department store, and thus we have today’s Fade of the Day.

Six months of warehouse work mixed with regular wear has taken a toll on these once indigo-rich 501s, and they now appear a much lighter cast of blue. All that wear has created some nice texture in the waist and thigh region, leading down to the knees, which now rock a hand-sewn denim patch.

To help try to prevent the inevitable crotch blow out before it could hit, Danny added some reinforcement stitching in between the legs and, so far, it seems to be holding up well. The back pockets show nice wallet and seam fades, and we are even seeing some marks of stacking down by the ankles. Levi’s comes through yet again!
