Fade nerds rejoice — preparations for the 2017 Denim World Championship have begun and naturally, Iron Heart is throwing their iron in the fire with the new IH-888-NT “Nama Tako” jeans, primed and ready to take a beating. They stuck to their heavyweight denim roots, but this time around, took a more vintage approach with the fit.
For those well-versed in Iron Heart terminology, these jeans are essentially an “Ultra Heavy Raw” (aka UHR) version of the 888 cut that features a high rise and a tapered leg. Despite the higher waist, IH believes this fit to be versatile enough to please the raw denim masses, as it can be worn comfortably by many different body types.
These jeans will feature indigo arcs (rather than the golden arcs pictured in the photos), a button fly with hidden rivets, and lined rear pockets. It’s a denim contest after all, so these jeans need to be able to be worn as hard as possible, though I can’t remember the last time I heard anyone question the durability of a pair of Iron Hearts.
Available for pre-order through July 18, 2017 at Iron Heart.
