Shockoe Puts Their Focus All in the Weft for Their Super Neppy Jeans

Shockoe Atelier, the family owned and operated company that hand produces small batches of jeans in their Richmond, VA factory, has just added the Slim Neppy jean to their lineup and, spiffy details aside, this pair is all about that fabric.

This iteration of their slim tapered jean is made with an 11.5oz. neppy indigo denim from Candiani Mills in Italy and features an indigo warp (not uncommon) and a heathered charcoal weft (very uncommon). If you’re someone who cuffs their jeans but some who’s also looking for something slightly different with the potential for interesting fades — and let’s be real here, between those three designations that covers 98% of our readers — this jean is likely worth becoming familiar with.

The fit is a low-mid rise with a slim seat and thighs that taper through the leg. They also feature a lock stitched yoke and waistband, rolled and tucked belt loops, red and gold selvedge ID, and are hand numbered and signed so you know who to give a hug when you visit the factory. And because these come from Shockoe, they also feature free repairs for life

Available for $225 at Shockoe Atelier.
