Champion Sneaks into Made in Japan Footwear

Since the resurgence of the vintage-styled sneaker in recent years, it seems like many footwear brands are throwing their iron in the fire trying to catch a taste of the action. The latest to do so are long-time sportswear masters Champion, pulling inspiration from old military and collegiate themes for their new Made in Japan shoe line.

Offered in a fall-friendly neutral color selection spanning the earth tones, this drop consists of both high- and low-top models, each featuring minimalistic styling and heritage aesthetics. Some of these unique features include a slightly elevated heel, water repellant uppers, and full tongue lace guides.

For what it’s worth, coming up with an original vintage looking high top sneaker isn’t the easiest task these days, but this collection looks promising, and the added fact that they chose to source production in Japan is definitely a bonus.
