Ever find yourself perusing your favorite denim sites, watching videos, reading interviews and taking in information, only to realize you wish you could take your passion to the next level? Well, if you live near Amsterdam (or feel like taking a little vacation), you may be in luck, because Denim City is now taking enrollment for their Denim Summer School.
Believe it or not, this program is exactly what it sounds like. Spanning five days, students will be taught a little of everything—covering topics ranging from a history of denim to production methods—eventually leading up to actually producing their own custom made pair of jeans. Unlike that science lecture you attended in college that was impossible to focus in, these classes are limited to 12 students at a time for a real hands-on and intimate setting.
From denim newbies to professionals looking to step up their knowledge, this class has something for everyone and is probably cooler than any other summer school out there.
