Fade of the Day – A.P.C. Petit New Standard (2 Years, 2 Washes, 3 Soaks)

If you have ever wondered why it is that A.P.C. became such a popular choice for denim heads early on, have a look at this pair of Petit New Standards and wonder no more. Heddels reader, and all-around raw denim-wearing champion, Fame Sritrairatana put a solid two years of wear in to get these textbook fades, and offered up some shots to serve as a daily dose of denim inspiration.

We don’t have a whole lot of intel on how or what it is Fame did to achieve such a high threshold of fade, and with results like this it might be a well-protected secret. What we do know is that he gave these jeans three cold water Woolite soaks, an ocean wash, and one cold water machine wash during their lifespan, which most likely helped transform them into their current state.

Sure, we are more than impressed with the back pocket fades, whiskers, and knees, but the real bread-winners here are the insane honeycombs and stacking marks that are so perfect they look as if they were applied by a fade-ulator. To put it simply, it just doesn’t get much better than this.
