Fade of the Day – A.P.C. Petit New Standards (4 Years, 5 Washes)

Many denim heads entered the game with a pair of A.P.C.’s, and with fading potential like this, can you blame them? This pair of A.P.C Petit New Standards clock in at four years of wear, and come to us courtesy of Eric Kim of the U.S.A.

It’s clear to see why Eric thought his A.P.C.’s were worthy of today’s Fade of The Day—they’ve got all the hallmarks we look for in a pair of thrashed jeans. Aside from some killer whiskers, the lap is super faded with striations running down the inner thigh, making for a defined wear-pattern. The knee has bust through, leaving a gnarly hole, which is matched by some even gnarlier honeycombs on the reverse. We’ve even got some hard stack fades towards the hems, which are showing some solid roping.

A few repairs have been needed along the way, including a crotch blow out fix and some darning work on the left knee, but after almost half a decade, we’d say these are going strong and look all the better for it.
