Fade of the Day – Railcar Fine Goods Viper X008 (20 Months 4 Washes)

Let’s face it, the raw denim game is pretty male-dominated, so it makes Fade of the Day extra special when we can showcase fades from our selvedge sisters. This pair of Railcar Fine Goods Viper X008 belong to Renee Sylvester from Oregon, and after 20 months of wear, they’re well on their way to some formidable fades.

These Railcars are Renee’s only pair of jeans, so they see a variety of activities from the daily work grind to hiking and gardening. Defined honeycombs have set in behind the knees, which have both faded to a near-white tone. Straight, symmetrical whiskers have developed in the lap, and subtly faded striations run down the inner thigh. The back-pocket is fading nicely and we’ve also got some crispy stacks emerging towards the hems, which are always a bonus!

Renee has had to patch up the crotch with some spare denim fabric, but she tells us she plans on wearing these jeans until they’re totally beat, so it’s safe to say these Railcars have more fades ahead of them.
