Fade of the Day – Warpweft Co. SP-07 (11 Months, 2 Washes)

A lot can happen in 11 months time, but not everything will turn out to be as rad as this pair of Warpweft Co. SP-07’s, sent in to us from Satria Purnama of Bandung, Indonesia. Made up of a 50/50 natural/synthetic indigo mix denim, they have hit that sweet spot where the blue is really shining through.

By now, you’re probably wondering how exactly Satria achieved such radical fades in under a year’s time, but the answer is simple enough: He wears them nearly every single day for all his regular activities, and wears them hard.

One of the characteristics of natural indigo is its amazing retention in the fabric, which has helped form some very unique fades in these jeans. From the whiskers to the honeycombs and all the way down to the roping around the ankles, there are practically as many shades of blue as there are crease marks. If they look this good now, just think of the possibilities in another 11 months.
