Oldblue Co. Celebrates Seven Years of Selvedge with Two New Jeans

Oldblue Co. has been carrying the torch for the Indonesian raw denim game since 2010 and their workwear-inspired garments have proven popular with denim heads worldwide. (Take a quick tour through our daily-fade features to see how beautifully they age. I’ll wait.) They’re certainly showing no sign of slowing down, and what better way to mark seven years in the game than with two special edition jeans dubbed ‘The Magnificent Seventh’.

The anniversary collection features two brand new 15oz. Japanese denims, one dubbed ‘Desert’ Selvedge — an unsanforized denim that features sulphur-dyed, brown weft threads that will see the denim earn a dusky-brown cast as it ages — and the other ‘Ocean’ Selvedge — a sanforized, double-indigo fabric with great potential for some poppin’ electric blue fades. While the Desert Selvedge utilizes Oldblue’s 8.25″ cut, a slim-straight fit with a medium rise, the Ocean Selvedge jeans are cut slimmer with Oldblue’s 7.5″ cut.

Each pair is handmade in Indonesia, and come with an anniversary leather waist patch and novelty paper pocket flashers to mark the occasion.

Both Desert and Ocean are available at Standard & Strange, priced at $215.
