Ooe Yofukuten Rides Tandem With Standard & Strange for Their Saddle Pants

Traveling from Japan to Oakland, Ooe Yofukuten has come stateside to bring a pair of jeans made exclusively for Standard & Strange. Dubbed the Saddle Pants, the jeans take after the beloved Roebucks Riders jeans with their distinct scoop-style front pockets. Behind those easy access pockets are larger pocket bags made to accommodate for today’s plus-sized cell phones, and keeping things curvy, they also decided to pair the scoop pockets with acorn rear pockets.

The fabric is Ooe’s proprietary 13.5oz. unsanforized denim, which has been washed once to get all of the shrinkage out of the way. The fit’s been taken up a bit with a higher rise and tapered leg, and other details include cotton sewing threads, a custom leather patch, and bar tacked rear pockets.

Available for $335 at Standard & Strange.
