Snake Oil Provisions and 3sixteen Double Up on a Double Black Collaboration
Southern California’s Snake Oil Provisions and 3sixteen have doubled up on a two-piece capsule collection that just begs you to give in to the dark side.
Taking 3sixteen’s ever-popular shadow selvedge denim that features an indigo warp and black weft, the tag team ventured further into the shadows by giving the fabric a black overdye baptism. The jean from this collaboration is 3sixteen’s ST-120x slim tapered fit made with a 14.5oz. denim custom woven exclusively for 3sixteen by Okayama-based Kuroki Mills. Pairing up with the jean is 3sixteen’s Type 3s 120x trucker jacket, been given the same black overdye treatment but offered without sleeves, because that’s way more metal.
Both pieces feature a heavyweight natural veg-tanned leather patch from Tanner Goods with co-branding, and are made in San Francisco. And hey, they’ve been overdyed (if you hadn’t gathered that already) so they’re going to run a little on the smaller size. You may want to size up.
