Fade of the Day – Iron Heart IH-666-UHR (15 Months, 5 Washes, 2 Soaks)

Iron Heart’s ultra-heavy fabrics rarely fail to disappoint on the fade front, and for this edition of Fade of the Day, we’ve got a pair of IH-666-UHR’s on our hands, submitted to us by Anthony Frazier Jr. of the United States.

Anthony tells us that, for 15 months, he religiously wore these heavyweight beasts to work on a day-to-day basis. Working for a print company means he uses power jacks, forklifts, and also drives a delivery truck regularly, all vital ingredients for cooking up the fades we’re seeing here. The lap is well-faded, with a nicely defined wear-pattern coming through via whiskering and vivid pocket fades. There’s even some subtle stacking towards the hems, and Anthony has earned some killer honeycombs. But honestly, we’d expect nothing less from 21-23 oz. denim.

The crotch has taken a beating over the past year or so, and even with repair, Anthony tells us it’s time these were retired for work duties, and are now worn solely in leisure time with some nice sneakers.
